    NEW SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Hi guys… sorry I have been so absent… but all for a good reason. I am building a new site for this blog and its taking me a while to build it and transfer all the recipes and articles from the tumblr blog hence why there has been nothing new from me of late… I have lots of things banked up. Thanks for your patients. Hope you are all cooking and eating well.

    Buon Appetito :)

    Scallop, Prawn and Pancetta Spaghetti

As you, know I love to cook but to learn to be a good cook you need to experiment and have a few failures in the process. Last night was one of those times. I cooked what I thought was going to be the yummiest roast chicken. It had a strange yet intriguing combination of ingredients. As I prepared the chicken, I wondered how they could suggest using such a large quantity of salt, but you know chicken is pretty bland so I thought… don’t question it, it’s not your recipe, there might be a reason. So I soldiered on. It smelt amazing in the oven… 55 mins later with anticipation I checked it was cooked and let it rest while I set the table. Mouth watering I sat down to this beautiful chicken and as I tasted my first bite… OMG… it was sooo salty :(

    Orecchiette con Broccoli

I love learing about the cooking specialities in the different regions in Italy. Today I am going to bring you a well known dish that is made in Southern Italy. Given that I am not from the South I don’t profess to be an expert on the matter but I will share with you my version of this famous and yummy dish.

    Koko Black

Don’t you just love Koko Black? If you have never been there do yourself a favour and go. If you like beautiful chocolate you’ll want to try this unique chocolate experience.

As I do most weeks, I head to Koko black to have a lovely coffee with my mum and daughter (although she is too young to have a coffee she enjoys pretending with her little baby-chino). Today was one of those days and I found out some great news. The choclatier team at Koko black has teamed up with one of my favorite Melbourne based Italian chefs, Guy Grossi to create a range of Italian inspired handmade chocolates.
